THE FARCE OF DAANG MATUWID

Mr. Aquino put inept and abusive people in the Government. He did not choose them on the basis of merit but on the basis of friendship and familial relations. This runs counter to his daang matuwid program because matuwid means straight and being straight in government means primarily that one must be fit for civil service.

For example, former Secretary Puno. Remember him? The former DILG Secretary who had been accused of both smuggling and overpricing of firearms at the DILG-PNP bid. Was he an example of being fit? There was enough evidence that former PNP Chief Bartolome had in possession to convict Puno and yet, there was not even a trial to indict him for gunrunning.

How about Secretary Delima? She first abused her discretion as DOJ Secretary when she disallowed the travel of the former President Arroyo when the Supreme Court at that time approved so. Is she considered fit for Daang matuwid?

How about Purisima of the Department of Finance? Wasn't it immoral for him to have recommended the approval of the1Billion Dollar loan by the BSP to the European governments when there is much to be done to improve our economy and internal monetary liquidity? And during the time where many of us are both losing and finding jobs? Was he even considered fit to run a public department to suit our "national interest"?
And not his interest as a businessman and a capitalist?

How about the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court? She failed the psychological exam, didn't she? Why was she even allowed by the Judicial and Bar Council to be nominated and much less appointed by the President? Isn't this a glaring violation of the Philippine Constitution?

How about Mar Roxas? As former DOTC head, he virtually ordered the stoppage of all payments by the airline companies made to the bureau of immigration, customs, quarantine and MIAA. Fees, charges and even overtime rates that are supposed to be an obligation of these companies to the Philippine government are not being paid anymore. Would you consider this to be a rightful and legal move by Roxas?

Florencio Abad. On his authority as Budget head, he withdrew all the allowances, fees and benefits due and previously enjoyed by every ordinary and overworked government employee. That's why you had been hearing complaints from pag-asa employees, MIAA employees, LRA, Landbank, Customs, quarantine, Immigration, DAR, agriculture, teachers, public health workers, DPWH, DENR employees etc. 
He even withdrew the allowances of Supreme Court Justices and employees, an act considered a flagrant violation of the separation of powers. All in the name of the so called ''RATIONALIZATION'.
Is this right? 

KINAKAIN NA NG MGA ANAK MO, KUKUNIN PA NILA. 

Is this the so-called DAANG MATUWID ni PNOY? 

Isn't this anti-people and abuse of the ordinary hardworking man?

How about Padaca? Why was she allowed to be a COMELEC COMMISSIONER when in fact she had a warrant for her arrest for a plunder case at the Sandiganbayan? Ito ba ay daang matuwid?

 How about Llamas. He was caught with heavy firearms such as the AK-47. Was he even charged in the courts for having violated the firearms law on illegal possession?

How about those "other appointees" in government offices that are equally inept and incompetent such as Honrado of MIAA, Ricky David of IMMIGRATION, Fred Mison of IMMIGRATION, Ruffy Biazon of CUSTOMS, Paje of DENR, Soliman of DSWD and etc.? 

These people are allegedly violating some of the internal rules on administrative code and civil service regulations on overtime, assignments, promotion, management and suspension of employees. CIVIL SERVICE kindly check on these offices that we have mentioned. There are reports of abuse of authority by the heads of offices.

Daang matuwid is actually HYPOCRISY in disguise. We just wonder why many people are still falling for it. If you would have the time to investigate further, marami na silang violation of the law. Secretary Delima alone has multitudes.

Dear readers, maybe it is time for you to think too. We have a LIAR, GREEDY and a HIGH-HANDED President in our midst.
